La Liga Monday didn't let me down. Another dull match, this time between Atletico Madrid and Osasuna, that was settled by a moment of magic from the talented Jurado. The first hour could be described at best as a bit of friendly sparring between the two sides, with no real moment of danger from either side. Then on the hour mark, Simao received his second yellow for a high challenge on Azpilicueta and you would be forgiven for thinking that would be Osasunas signal to go for the kill. But bar a couple of good chances which produced crucial saves from David De Gea, Osasuna wilted. And they were punished by a moment of supreme skill by Jurado who received the ball on the edge of the box with ten minutes left, took a touch and unleashed a devilish, curling effort which gave Ricardo no chance. A rare moment of class on another sluggish monday night.
