I just had to post this video. A few of the many highlights Jose Mourinho produced during the match between Real Madrid and Real Sociedad in San Sebastian. The fantastic bottle-throwing moment was courtesy of a defensive mistake from Sergio Ramos which almost lead to a freak equaliser from Antoine Griezmann. I liked Manuel Pellegrini, but he's not even close to Mou when it comes to sideline histrionics. Keep them coming Jose.
Its sad to see such a great tactially astute manager in charge of this current mish mash of players that is Real Madrid, you can already see signs of The Great One's frustration. Yes they do have some excellent players, however the likes of Ronaldo, Kaka and Higuain are not the type of player he would normally opt for. Tactically his way of playing is not condusive to what Madrid expect. I expect the fans to lose patience with him after a season and hopefully Jose will then return to the premiership who knows maybe England manager.

ReplyDeleteAgreed with what you said about Mourinho in that he would normally go for a team of team players rather than a team of stars. I guess he has to work with what he's got, so it could be a frustrating first season, but I think he'll get more time than Pellegrini did, simply because of who he is and what he's already won. They're still a point ahead of Barca after three matches so it's not all doom and gloom. Just need to start playing consistently well. Heard a rumour Mourinho has an escape clause in his contract if Man Utd come calling?? Interesting if true.
